Garston Remembers

On Remembrance Sunday 10/11/2013 Mark Masons and Royal Ark Mariners of Garston attended the Garston Cenotaph at 11.00hrs.  
 
A wreath was laid by VW Bro Eric Hughes PGJO a former Royal Marine. The Orator for the Act of Remembrance was Colin Svenson PPrJGW former Sgt with 1st Battalion Prince of Wales own Yorkshire Regiment.
Also in attendance were local Craft Freemasons and a group of local Residents.
 
The Vice Chairman WBro Ken Bradley PPrJGW of the Garston Craft lodges also placed a token of Remembrance, followed by a very young boy who had made his own excellent poppy, in addition a number of local residents also placed tokens of remembrance.
 
Attendance by residents of Garston and district have grown each year, since the Wreath laying ceremony by Mark Mason has been keen to start at 11.00hrs.
 
WBro Derek Horrocks PAGStB who is the Provincial Grand Masters Special Representative for Garston organised the event, and requested members of the Craft and their families, to join Mark Masons and their families for tea and coffee at Gaston Masonic Hall.
